Our client is seeking a General Manager to lead operations within a battery materials manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, capable of driving performance, building teams, and supporting commercial growth.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the facility's culture, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality output in line with strategic objectives.

The General Manager will:

• Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring the facility runs efficiently and meets performance targets.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align operations with business strategy and client needs.
• Oversee compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Recruit, train, and manage the operations team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Support client relationship management, order fulfilment, and contribute to commercial growth initiatives.

The General Manager will have:

• Proven experience in managing a manufacturing or production facility (battery materials or related field preferred).
• Strong operational and leadership skills, with a track record of building teams and processes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a start-up or scale-up environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and employees.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
