An established Tier 1 automotive supplier with decades of history supplying all major OEMs, is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance across its manufacturing site. Its connection systems, originally developed for windscreens and aerials, are now in high demand for EV battery technology, with new and highly automated processes being introduced for next-generation cell contacting systems.
Based mainly on the shop floor, you will oversee maintenance across all product lines, from a hot dip tinning line through to PCB manufacture and EV electrical components.

Based mainly on the shop floor, you will oversee maintenance across all product lines, from a hot dip tinning line through to PCB manufacture and EV electrical components.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the maintenance team, setting daily tasks and running the morning team meeting to coordinate issue resolution.
- Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance across all production processes and equipment.
- Supporting the introduction of new, highly automated processes for next-generation EV products.
- Tracking and reporting maintenance metrics such as OEE, MTBF and MTTR, and contributing to audits.
- Managing general facilities maintenance across the site.
- Ensuring the safe handling of hazardous substances and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Driving continuous improvement to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
The Maintenance Manager will have:
- A time-served apprenticeship, HNC or HND, ideally with an electrical bias.
- Knowledge of the 18th/19th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience in a maintenance leadership role within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with automotive industry metrics, including OEE and mean time to failure/repair.
- A hands-on approach and confidence leading a team on the shop floor.
- Experience with automated production, PCB manufacture or EV components would be advantageous.
