What to expect from Unipart’s Recruitment Process

Unipart uses a variety of tools and techniques to ensure Unipart get the best from every candidate and create opportunities to truly understand you, your skills, and your experience. The steps outlined below provide an overview of what you might expect, helping you to prepare thoroughly.

  • Informal Interview - This stage is a relaxed and friendly conversation designed to help Unipart to get to know you better. This may be conducted in person, or via a video call. It's an opportunity for you to openly share your experiences, skills, and knowledge in a comfortable setting. Unipart are keen to understand your career aspirations and what you're looking for in your next role. Equally, this is your chance to learn more about the role, the team, and Unipart. Please feel free to ask any questions you have – we want to ensure you have all the information you need to decide if this is the right opportunity for you.
  • Competency-Based Interview - This stage focuses on understanding your past experiences and how you've applied your skills and knowledge in real-world situations. Unipart will ask you to provide specific examples of how you've handled various scenarios, demonstrating the competencies essential for success in this role. Think about situations where you've problem-solved, collaborated, led your team or project, or adapted to change. This helps Unipart understand your approach and how your strengths align with their team and company values.
  • Presentation – This is your opportunity to showcase your expertise and communication skills. You'll either be asked to prepare a presentation on a topic of your choice (relevant to the role) or Unipart will provide you with a specific brief to research and present on. Unipart will be looking at both the content of your presentation – how well you demonstrate your specific or industry knowledge – and your ‘soft skills’, such as your presentation style, clarity, and ability to engage your audience. This helps them understand how you articulate ideas and present information effectively.
  • Psychometric Assessments - These assessments are designed to give Unipart a good overall insight into your behaviours and capabilities, and they can also help support your interview. For roles where specific behaviours are a key requirement, these assessments provide valuable insights that can sometimes be difficult to fully capture through conversation alone. As an unbiased process, psychometric assessments support a fair and objective recruitment process.
