We are currently hiring a Facilities Engineer for our client, a manufacturer of manufacture zero-emission trucks with a revolutionary combination of battery electric and hydrogen fuel-cell range extender technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the facilities department as directed by the Plant Engineering Manager.

 

The Facilities Engineer will:

  • Support the Safety performance of the department to delivery projects with a Zero Accident / Zero Incident mindset.
  • Manage contractors onsite to ensure compliance to Risk Assessment & Method Statement and the appropriate Permits to Work.
  • Support the development of the Civil, Mechanical and Facilities Standards and Procedures.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of Civil, Mechanical and Facilities requirement to support process engineering requirements.
  • Contribute towards the technical knowledge database for use in future program planning.
  • Support Investment Efficiency target and Continuous Improvements of Civil, Mechanical and Facilities cost performance.
  • Support facilities design, construction, renovation, and modification of manufacturing facilities to support future projects as requested.
  • Support the development of Plant Engineering timing plans and delivery of project on-time. Including the development of standard delivery tool and methods.

 

The Facilities Engineer will have:

  • Degree or equivalent of minimum of Five years’ experience within a manufacturing / construction environment including experience of Mechanical, Civil, Facilities Engineering.
  • Relevant degree or have the relevant Qualification, skills, knowledge, and experience to fulfil the role.
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills in English Language. Confident communicator with the ability to clearly and accurately present information to all levels of the company.
  • Logical and analytical thinking with the ability to explain and/or simplify complex technical/regulatory information and compliance strategies.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving in an automotive compliance and engineering context.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring and people management skills.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
