CNC Turner

We are hiring a CNC Turner for our client, a precision engineering company supplying elite teams across IndyCar, F1 and World Rally. Having recently won new business at the pinnacle of professional motorsport, they are looking for a skilled machinist to join their Aylesbury machine shop, producing parts that can be seen winning races around the world.

The CNC Turner will be responsible for:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes on control using Fanuc and Fusion 360.
• Reviewing engineering drawings to plan the most efficient machining strategy.
• Assessing tooling requirements and identifying when new tooling is needed.
• Agreeing lead times with the Machine Shop Supervisor.
• Working with the Quality Engineer to ensure tolerances and quality targets are met.
• Maintaining machine maintenance schedules.

The CNC Turner will have:

• Proven experience operating CNC lathes.
• The ability to program using Fanuc and Fusion 360.
• Relevant qualifications in CNC machining or engineering.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Hypermill experience (desirable).
• 3 and 5 axis milling experience on Hurco mills (desirable)
