Embedded Electronics Engineer

An innovative climate-tech start-up is seeking an Embedded Electronics Engineer to take technical ownership of its embedded platform. Working directly with the founders, you will develop low-power systems designed to run autonomously in remote environments for years, with the opportunity to grow into the company's embedded technical lead.

The Embedded Electronics Engineer will be responsible for:

• Owning the architecture of the embedded platform across electronics, firmware and power management.
• Designing ultra-low-power electronics, including schematics, PCB layout and hardware debugging.
• Developing robust C/C++ firmware for low-power microcontrollers.
• Integrating sensors and wireless connectivity such as NB-IoT or BLE.
• Taking products from prototype through to reliable, manufacturable production.
• Running laboratory and field validation to identify failure modes and improvements.

The Embedded Electronics Engineer will have:

• A degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related discipline.
• Strong electronic design experience.
• Experience developing embedded systems in a commercial or applied R&D setting.
• Some embedded C/C++ skills.
• A practical mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving start-up environment.
