Commercial Accountant

Our client is currently seeking a hands-on Commercial Accountant to deliver accurate financial insight, improve financial processes, and support strategic decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-tech environment with a strong mission and collaborative culture.

The Commercial Accountant will:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, revenue recognition, and project costing.
• Deliver variance analysis and commentary against budget and actuals.
• Maintain balance sheet accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
• Monitor working capital and support cashflow management.
• Assist with costing, margin analysis, and pricing for commercial activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and support statutory compliance.

The Commercial Accountant will have:

• Part-qualified or qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in management or commercial accounting, ideally in an SME.
• Strong financial analysis skills and Excel proficiency, including data modelling.
• Experience with ERP systems and managing sales/cost allocation.
• Commercially aware and proactive in identifying improvements.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
