Our client is developing next-generation marine battery and high-power charging systems, building on proven technology from their vessel programmes. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a HV / LV Systems Lead - Battery & Charging Systems to head up the Electrical Engineering team. This senior role blends technical leadership with hands-on delivery, focusing on the development of advanced electrification technologies for the wider marine market.

The HV / LV Systems Lead - Battery & Charging Systems will:

• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team working on HV (High voltage) and LV (low voltage) systems.
• Act as the technical authority on electrical architecture, power distribution, safety, and control integration.
• Oversee the development of schematics, harnessing, component selection, and system integration.
• Collaborate with software and systems teams to support algorithm development for diagnostics and control.
• Apply systems engineering principles to ensure traceability, validation, and integration of electrical functions.
• Provide technical leadership across key projects, ensuring robust design and delivery aligned with requirements.

The HV / LV Systems Lead - Battery & Charging Systems will have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years' experience in electrification projects, ideally within automotive, industrial, or energy sectors.
• Proven experience leading electrical engineering teams or acting as a technical lead.
• Strong understanding of HV/LV distribution, EMC, grounding, and isolation techniques.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes and tools such as Vector, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, or Simulink.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a pragmatic and delivery-focused mindset.
