A leading organisation focusing on battery cell research and manufacturing is currently seeking to recruit a Process Engineer. The successful candidate will work directly with other functions and project teams to ensure the smooth running of the production line, whilst ensuring safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes.


The Process Engineer will:

  • Take ownership of a designated section of the production line, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operation.
  • Lead and facilitate problem-solving meetings, ensuring issues are identified, root causes established, and corrective actions implemented promptly.
  • Monitor and manage line performance against weekly and monthly KPIs, driving initiatives to achieve or exceed targets.
  • Work closely with Operations and other internal teams, coordinating activities with suppliers and stakeholders to maintain optimal line performance.
  • Provide hands-on support as required while overseeing the coordination of processes within the assigned area.
  • Support commissioning activities and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production area to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.


The Process Engineer will have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing or Process Engineering role, ideally within automotive or Tier 1/Tier 2 manufacturing or production environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing or running a production line, with a strong focus on efficiency and quality.
  • A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or a closely related discipline).
  • Strong ability to communicate findings and insights effectively, both verbally and through clear, well-structured reports. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Solid understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans, and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction.
