Field Service Engineer

Our client, a specialist in electrical control systems and automation for a wide range of industries and sectors is currently looking to hire a Field Service Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical cabinet manufacture, installation and on-site commissioning or breakdown support of complex automation control systems.

The Field Service Engineer will:

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Work in accordance with relevant standards e.g. ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to clients support tickets.
• Schedule and coordinate tasks to meet tight deadlines with all stakeholders.
• Manage on-site delivery and commissioning of projects.

The Field Service Engineer will have:

• Bachelor's degree (BEng/BSc) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or HNC/HND is ideal.
• 3 years’ experience in Electrical Installation and Commissioning works/maintenance roles.
• A good understanding of industrial automation principles, electrical design, instrumentation and process control.
• Experience with Siemens TIA portal/RS Logix would be ideal but can be taught.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to automation systems (e.g. Machinery Directive, IEC 61508).
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
