A leading automotive manufacturing company that specializes in producing high performance vehicles is currently hiring a Vehicle Test Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering testing outcomes to the main engineering functions on performance, durability and usability of full vehicles and mechanical sub-components.

The Test Engineer will:

• Coordinate tests at vehicle, system and component level.
• Monitor data and outcomes live. Reacting to new data when required and modifying testing plans.
• Report on test outcomes, conclusions drawn and logging mileage accumulation of subsystems
• Log faults and opportunities identified during the test
• Run the car at test events. Communicate clearly with the driver, mechanics, and engineers to provide instructions and recommendations.

The Test Engineer will have:

• A relevant degree level qualification.
• Experience creating and running test programmes and monitoring data for the WHOLE VEHICLE, whilst in low volume high-end automotive or motorsport environment.
• Strong grounding in engineering including a good technical understanding of major systems on an EV.
• Enthusiasm about new technologies and problem solving in an automotive/motorsport environment.
• Ability to be organised & thorough in identifying and documenting outcomes and reporting them in an appropriate manner.
