Quality Product Engineer (Battery)

Our client, a leading company specialising in scientific instruments, particularly with applications in energy storage and battery technology is currently looking to hire a Quality Product Engineer. The successful candidate will manage ISO9001 compliance (including internal audits, findings, management of external audits, process mapping, supplier management, customer satisfaction, etc.) and lead product quality management.

The Quality Product Engineer will:

• Ensure BPM compliance with ISO9001 standards, including internal and external audits and resultant actions.
• Implement and sustain corrective actions to resolve non-conformities and customer complaints, ensuring root cause analysis is documented.
• Work with suppliers to ensure product and service quality meet company.
• Collaborate with the Head of Production and other key personnel to ensure seamless integration of quality practices.
• Lead product quality initiatives, ensuring high standards through collaboration with production teams, suppliers, and operators.

The Quality Product Engineer will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a technical manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical background/degree – someone who can understand mechanical drawings, understand what a CNC machine is.
• Strong leadership and management skills with a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Proficiency in applying recognized problem-solving tools to achieve results.
• Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings, BOMs and assembly manuals.
