Our client, a developer of bespoke electric vehicle drivetrains for one off vehicles, are offering a unique opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead and oversee production across large 20,000 square foot production facility. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of all production activities.

The Workshop Manager will:

• Organise and project manage the manufacture and assembly of subsystems such as battery boxes, steering assemblies, chassis and transmissions.
• Lead a team of electrical and mechanical technicians conducting bespoke vehicle conversions, acting as the technical lead to resolve any issues that arise during these projects.
• Provide technical expertise to the design and development of electric vehicle (EV) solutions.
• Manage the mechanical workshop, electrical workshop, and production departments.
• Support the Sales and Marketing teams by providing technical input for customer and media communications.

The Workshop Manager will have:

• A minimum of five years of hands-on experience with vehicle mechanics, preferably with classic cars or one off bespoke builds.
• Demonstrated ability to plan production schedules, monitor progress, and ensure quality control.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly with technical issues that may arise during production.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary production teams.
