Process Engineer (Gigafactory)

A manufacturer of high-quality, high performance and sustainable batteries is currently hiring a Process Engineer. The successful candidate will be the primary subject matter expert for a specific manufacturing process area.

The Process Engineer will:

• Develop and maintain all process documentation; SWIs, PFMEAs, Control Plans and associated Quality Assurance requirements.
• Work closely with equipment vendors and technical partners to ensure the production process is delivered to target.
• Lead the selection, implementation, commissioning and ramp-up of manufacturing equipment and capability.
• Develop the manufacturing process, including the design, control strategy and risk mitigation activity for key areas of the end-to-end production process.
• Define implementation plans and associated actions to ensure compliance with targets for OEE, yield, cycle time and product quality throughout the industrialisation lifecycle.

The Process Engineer will have:

• Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Manufacturing), or extensive experience of process driven manufacturing environments.
• Experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in a highly automated or controlled environment.
• Experience of delivering new manufacturing capability throughout the maturation lifecycle
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organisation
• Experience of New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and associated challenges or introducing new processes/plant.
