Resident Project Engineer - eMachine and Inverters (EV)

A luxury British car manufacturer known for producing high-performance sports cars is currently looking to hire a Resident Project Engineer - eMachine and Inverters. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, developing and monitoring the eMotor and Inverter supplier on-site, particularly with industrialization of the product.

The Resident Project Engineer - eMachine and Inverters will:

• Improving robustness of Engineering Design sign-off on-site at the supplier, including but not limited to:
  • Design reviews.
  • Design reports.
  • DFMEA
  • PFMEA
• Provide technical oversight of Production Assembly Line Processes for both eMotor and Inverter.
• Work cross-functionally with other Engineering departments to define and balance characteristics to achieve system and vehicle requirements.
• Drive improvements in Project Management governance.
• Acquire and evaluate competitor benchmark information to influence concept creation in early project phases.

The Resident Project Engineer - eMachine and Inverters will have:

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and/or related field.
• High Voltage Live Working Qualification.
• Mechanical systems development and integration for high performance hybrid and/or electric vehicles to ISO 26262.
• Excellent Mechanical design skills and GD&T abilities in both generation, critique and tolerance stack analysis.
• Hands on experience of working with automotive High Voltage ePowertrain systems.
• Knowledge of relevant component legislation and certification requirements for automotive ePowertrain systems.
