Head of Strategic Energy and Utilities

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager-Level Engineer with a strong understanding of ICPs, Grid Connections and Renewable to Head-Up a Strategic Consulting Division for our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering practice with a passion for excellence, innovation, and environmental sustainability. 

The Head of Strategic Energy Department will:

• Using strong knowledge of ICPs, Grid Connections and Renewables, advise clients on behind the meter strategies such as off-grid renewable energy, electricity usage and utilities.
• Lead client facing consultancy activities within a buildings services client portfolio, delivering net zero and decarbonisation strategic advisory.
• Recruit, develop and mentor a team of consultants to meet departmental needs.
• Manage team finances, including profit and loss analysis, and oversee project commercial aspects.
• Propel business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base.
• Build and sustain robust client relationships, tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.
• Ensure seamless project execution, meeting deadlines and budgetary requirements.

The Head of Strategic Energy Department will have:

• An accredited Honours Degree in Engineering related field.
• A solid engineering background with a track record of successful project delivery.
• A sound technical understanding of renewable energy, infrastructure solutions, and the current energy landscape.
• Leadership experience within the energy and utilities sector.
