Lead Process Engineer Cell Assembly and FA&T

A Midlands-based battery cell research and manufacturing centre is looking to recruit a Lead Process Engineer Cell Assembly and FA&T. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of projects through the cell assembly line.

The Lead Process Engineer Cell Assembly and FA&T will:

• Lead new product introduction initiatives for next gen chemistries and materials in lithium-ion battery manufacturing.
• Generate and maintain documentation including machine and process specifications, drawings, bill of materials, spare parts, PFMEA, control plan, and process flow chart.
• Drive the production analysis to increase manufacturing uptime, availability, and reliability metrics-yield, OEE, cycle time, and quality and investigate bottlenecks to identify root causes and countermeasures to maximize throughput.
• Lead and develop a team of process engineers in manufacturing for lithium-ion battery cells specifically within Cell Assembly & Formation, Aging and Testing processes.

The Lead Process Engineer Cell Assembly and FA&T will have:

• Minimum of a degree level qualification within an engineering discipline – Electrical, electronic or Manufacturing Engineering is of particular interest.
• Significant experience within a similar process engineering role within a high-speed manufacturing environment – automotive industry experience is of particular interest.
• Exposure to data acquisition equipment and PLC Controls or other automated systems.
• Demonstrable knowledge of automation, mechanical and controls.
