An international battery company creating, developing, and producing high-performance, long-lasting batteries is currently looking to hire a HV Principal Design Engineer. The successful candidate will design and develop electrical systems and components associated with battery modules and packs for a variety of applications predominantly in EV but also in other energy sectors.

The HV Principal Design Engineer will:

• Design and develop electrical systems and components for battery modules and packs, ensuring they meet performance and sustainability goals.
• Work with suppliers to provide direction and guidance with respect to the electrical and electronic content of their deliverables with a view to ensuring compatibility across other systems and an optimised overall solution.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to enhance electrical design capabilities.
• Work closely with other engineering teams, such as mechanical, thermal, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical components within company’s or customer’s products.

The HV Principal Design Engineer will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
• Past experience in electrical design, including High Voltage.
• Experience with CAD (schematic and 3D) ideally CATIA.
• Strong knowledge in electrical design software and tools (e.g., Vesys).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with hardware prototyping and testing.
