Our client, an international battery company creating, developing, and producing high-performance, long-lasting batteries is looking to hire a Thermal Design Lead. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and collaborate with various departments to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our battery systems and successful integration into customer applications.

The Thermal Design Lead will:

• Drive innovation in thermal design, staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in battery thermal management.
• Oversee the prototyping and testing of thermal components and systems.
• Create detailed design documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and design validation plans.
• Develop and implement thermal management strategies for battery systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and materials science to integrate thermal solutions seamlessly.

The Thermal Design Lead will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Proven experience in thermal design, preferably in the battery or energy storage industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and analysis (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
