HV Electrical Design Engineer

We are currently looking for an HV Electrical Design Engineer for our client, an international battery company creating, developing, and producing high-performance, long-lasting batteries. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating electrical schematics and designs, whilst also guiding and overseeing the electrical content developed by suppliers with a view to ensuring the highest safety, reliability, quality, and performance of our products.

The HV Electrical Design Engineer will:

• Participate in rigorous testing, analysis, and validation of electrical designs to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
• Create and optimise electrical circuits, taking into consideration efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Design and develop electrical systems and components for battery modules and packs, ensuring they meet performance and sustainability goals.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, including schematics, technical reports, BOMs and design specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on prototypes through to production level systems of battery system designs.

The HV Electrical Design Engineer will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and principles and circuit analysis.
• Proven experience in electrical design, including High Voltage, preferably in the field of battery systems.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., Vesys).
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
