ADAS/AD Test Platform Engineer

Our client, an iconic luxury British sports car manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for an ADAS/AD Test Platform Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for HIL based ADAS and autonomous Driving (AD) validation and verification (V&V) activities and sign off.

The ADAS/AD Test Platform Engineer will:

• Integrate plant models into the HIL rig and ensure the virtual tools and HIL rig coverage is capable for future model changes.
• Oversee commissioning and acceptance testing of the facility.
• Interpret the data generated and Triage to identify non product test platform defects and subsequent root cause.
• Maintain the test platform inclusive of updates to hardware, software, models, framework, measurement, instrumentation, and data extraction.
• Create HIL system strategy and vehicle simulation environments (hardware and software) and models in alignment with functional requirements.

The ADAS/AD Test Platform Engineer will have:

• BEng in relevant discipline (Control/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics, etc.)
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Solid understanding of Systems Engineering and V&V process and methods.
• Experience in Automotive industry simulation software such as VI-Grade CRT/IPG/ASM and DriveSim.
• Strong technical knowledge of modelling communication protocols used in Automotive sector (CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet) using either dSPACE or Vector software.
• Proven experience in the MATLAB, Simulink Simulation toolset.
• Passion for engineering and continuous learning/improvement, strive for technical excellence.
