Our client, a leading Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team! The successful candidate will work alongside a small and growing team of Professional Engineers in new product development and industrialisation of batteries.

The Mechanical Engineer will:

• Create mechanical engineering data sets, specifications.
• Manage Product data, BOMs, data sheets, technical component review.
• Create Design for manufacture and design for assembly evaluations, for cell, module, and pack.
• Write Customer reports.
• Review and check simulation results (Thermal CFD, Structural FEA)

The Mechanical Engineer will have:

• Degree in Engineering, minimum BEng.
• Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience.
• Strong application of GD&T and technical engineering drawings. Application of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Significant experience in CREO CAD & Windchill PLM. Working Knowledge of CAE analysis packages beneficial (ANSYS Fluent, MathCAD, COMSOL, MATLAB)
• Solid understanding of Engineering processes and good electrical fundamentals.
