Production Manager

A state-of-the-art R&D facility supporting the development, manufacturing, and testing of lithium-ion batteries is currently seeking a Production Manager to join their team! The successful candidate will co-ordination the day-to-day production process, maintenance department and related targets, allocate resources and tasks as required to achieve maximum results.

The Production Manager will:

• Meet or exceed the production targets in relation to output and quality.
• Build successful individuals and teams through on-going appraisals and skills / knowledge assessment and development. Directly supervises employees; monitors work quality including conducting performance appraisals and providing counselling for improving performance.
• Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; ensuring product is available, observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; logging and validating targets per machine.
• Lead shop floor operations by monitoring shop floor process 60-80% of the time.
• Implement VSM’s and improvement plans to match workload/ flow.

The Production Manager will have:

• Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise production and projects.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of both Production and Maintenance departments.
• Ability to work under pressure.
