A world-renowned luxury car manufacturer is looking to grow the team at their state-of-the-art production facility. They are actively looking for a Project Engineer - Infotainment Launch Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Electrical Launch and Integration teams to deliver infotainment systems for new model launches.

 

The Project Engineer - Infotainment Launch Lead will:

  • Be the lead point of contact between product development, vehicle integration and manufacturing, supporting the release process chain and driving problem resolutions from integration.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, electrical integration engineers, component owners and release engineers in the infotainment team to meet integration milestones deliverables like specifications and software releases to ensure build readiness for infotainment commodities.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical issues leading up to vehicle launch and creating reports.
  • Lead vehicle integration & launch engineers within infotainment to perform testing on a timely basis for commodity integration and reporting to the Electrical integration team.
  • Lead infotainment fleet management team with technical guidance for Integration point updates, fleet issue resolution and maintenance.
  • Lead and ensure status metrics of infotainment commodities on different issue management tools and trackers are maintained and updated.
  • Sign off vehicles from prototype builds on behalf of the Infotainment department.
  • Write all necessary reports, presentations, or technical documents to explain and/or make a record of the development activities.
  • Research and improve the build & launch capability of the infotainment team over time.

 

The Project Engineer - Infotainment Launch Lead will have:

  • CAN tools – CANoE.
  • Understanding of UDS, DoIP etc.
  • Understanding of Automotive networks including LIN/CAN/Automotive Ethernet.
  • Understanding of electronics/software and hardware design & EDS.
  • Data analysis & report writing.
  • Experience in delivering Infotainment modules.
  • Experience of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and Software).
  • Experience of software development processes and managing software delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive development systems and test framework.
  • Supplier management experience is desirable.
  • Complete knowledge of Product Development cycle from concept to launch completion.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes.
  • Electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent degree.
