Our client, a Midlands based battery cell research and manufacturing centre is currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team! The successful candidate will support the capture and analysis of data generated from the production and test of the organisation’s baseline and customer products.

The Senior Data Scientist will:

• Be able to work cross functionally and actively drive the assistance from other departments to enable progress in developing the data analytics capability.
• Participate in internal process meetings by playing a critical role in developing data led decision making.
• Develop robust automated reporting and a user-friendly interface for the live visualisation of Manufacturing and Test data.
• Contribute to issue resolution, root cause investigation, verification, and validation activity.
• Manage and scope work for external consultancies which may be used to provide additional data analytics/engineering resource and solutions.

The Senior Data Scientist will have:

• 10 years’ experience in data science with additional exposure to solving complex data engineering problems.
• Degree qualification in relevant Engineering or Science discipline (such as but not limited to Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Physics,)
• Experience in using Data visualisation software such as Microsoft Power BI, Infor Birst.
• Strong attention to detail – data driven, diligent and thorough in approach.
• Experience in MongoDB and SQL databases.
• Ability to manage various stakeholder requirements and expectations on data management (voice of customer).
