Subject Matter Expert - Cell Assembly

A leading organisation focusing on battery cell research and manufacturing is currently seeking to recruit a Subject Matter Expert – Cell Assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible with the delivery of projects and will act as the main point of contact for any technical queries from Cell assembly and FA&T.

The Subject Matter Expert – Cell Assembly will:

• Lead the improvement and development of the existing manufacturing process and methods considering quality, cost, efficiency, and process flow.
• Consult on new product introduction initiatives for next gen chemistries and materials in battery manufacturing.
• Drive root cause analysis through process and equipment expertise, correlate with upstream / downstream processes as part of a cross-functional activity.
• Help generate and maintain documentation including machine and process specifications, drawings, bill of materials, spare parts, PFMEA, control plan, process flow chart.
• Work closely with the Cell Assembly Operations Team, Product Engineering and Electrochemistry Team.

The Subject Matter Expert – Cell Assembly will have:

• Previous Experience of working in the battery industry.
• Hands on attitude with demonstrable knowledge of automation and mechanical aspects.
• Deep understanding of Cell assembly and FA&T for various battery formats.
• Minimum of a degree level qualification within an engineering discipline – Mechanical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering is of particular interest.
• Exceptional appreciation for Health, Safety and Quality control procedures.
• Ability to deliver results under pressure.
