Battery Pack Design Engineer

An electric car developer whose mission is to bring real engagement and emotion to driving electric performance cars is currently looking for a Battery Pack Design Engineer. The successful candidate will have a background of practical and academic excellence, a great attention to detail and can work unsupervised to tight deadlines.

The Battery Pack Design Engineer will:

• Work on the design and development of a high-performance battery and subsystems.
• Work closely with the electrical and mechanical design teams.
• Be responsible for the CAD design and packaging of all the components that make up the battery pack, including cells, cooling systems and distribution.
• Plan for and carry out validation tests on battery subsystems.

The Battery Pack Design Engineer will have:

• Bachelor or Master graduate in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
• A minimum of three years’ experience in a high level automotive/motorsport environment
• Good knowledge of lithium-based cell technologies.
• Excellent understanding of HV safety, and creepage and clearance requirements.
• Good knowledge of plastics and sheet metal design and manufacturing techniques.
• Excellent CAD skills (NX preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of GD&T, drawing and assembly document creation.
