We are currently looking for a Chief Technical Officer for our client, a Tier 1 Battery Pack Technology company focused on the design and manufacture of battery packs. The successful candidate will be responsible for making all the decisions related to the organisation’s technology and systems. The Chief Technical Officer will be overseeing the day to day running of the technology team and develop, implement, manage, and assess the resources and products.

 

The Chief Technical Officer will:

  • Develop and implement technical strategies and make changes if necessary.
  • Ensure all technological strategies are in line with the with company goals.
  • Present the technology strategy to investors and partners.
  • Manage budgets, KPI’s and timeframes to ensure that there are no extra expenditures.
  • Identify competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of the company.
  • Develop, track, and manage the development of operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
  • Ensure that all technical processes are in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Design and lead the implementation of our strategy for technology while ensuring the application and implementation of technology standards across the organization

 

The Chief Technical Officer will have:

  • Proven experience in leadership/management or previous CTO experience.
  • Experience with working with budgets and knowledge of business-planning.
  • Ability to conduct technological research and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take initiative in thought leadership while inspiring and motivating the team.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to make decisions that directly impact the company’s profitability.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to cope with dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and functions.
