Business Development Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager who will join our client’s team, a developer of EV Charging Points and power supplier. The successful candidate will work with the Sales and Channel Manager to develop new channels to market and with other Business Development Managers to develop, optimise and deliver sales activity.

 

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Deliver relevant sales pitches, proposals and negotiating/closing projects and converting new business opportunities to contract awards.
  • Continuously improve sales processes, skill sets and capability to shorten sales lead times, lower sales costs and improve sales conversion.
  • Support the development of market leading proposals by ensuring customer insights, needs and other relevant content are fully reflected.
  • Ensure all other relevant commercial, regulatory, and legal inputs are integrated into an efficient proposal development and approval process.
  • Engage in industry forums and networking opportunities to actively promote the organisation.
  • Ensure good industry and EV market knowledge to ensure prospects receive best in class consultation and service throughout the sales process.

 

The Business Development Manager will have:

  • Experience of leading and developing strategies and plans to sell energy and/or energy solutions.
  • Proven capability of prospecting, lead generation, developing and delivering sales proposals, negotiating, and closing sales preferably in the Energy Solutions, B2B or technical services environment.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with others.
  • Proven interpersonal and effective communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and customers at all levels.
  • Capability to multitask, able to cope with constantly changing priorities and environment and the ability to manage and resolve conflict.
