Our client, a Pioneer in Battery Technology, and a Battery Manufacturing Gigaplant, devoted to supporting the future of electrified transportation and sustainable energy storage, is looking for a Head of Sales - North America. The Head of Sales, will be responsible for developing powerful, longstanding relationships with the key influences and decision maker stakeholders at organisation’s OEM target customers in the North American region (USA and Canada), creating and executing the customer engagement strategy for the customer account(s) that provides business growth.
The Head of Sales will:
Build solid customer relationships, being the face of the company for the customers
Open doors to new business opportunities within existing customers and at new customers
Business partnering with the R&D and application engineering teams
Affiliate with the R&D and engineering function on North American customer product requirements.
Own the relationship to purchasing, overseeing the quality of relationship to engineering, quality, program departments at the customer.
Proactively purse business opportunities including ensuring the on-time response to RFIs and RFQs and leading the preparation of bids for new business.
Grow order book through business acquisition opportunities in North America. Achieve long and short-term sales targets for BV cells. Acquisition of new projects by early recognition of market needs and upcoming RFQs.
Define, create, and maintain up-to-date intelligence of relevant North American customers and their requirements, our competitors, market share, future potential technologies and provide input to marketing and communication strategy.
Support commercial and finance departments when necessary for order processing and overdue invoices.
Contribute to the annual budgeting and long-term forecasting, personal input to guide the business on anticipated customer volumes. (S&OP process)
The Head of Sales will have:
Successful track record of securing strategic sales of engineered systems or components to automotive OEM’s.
Previous experience of strategic account management with leading OEM(s)
Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft office packaging.
Ability to react to adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Great interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment.
Proven experience with Electric Vehicles and/or high voltage or low voltage Li-ion battery systems would be an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
