Our client, a leading force in battery technologies, dedicated to supporting the future of electrified transportation and sustainable energy storage, is currently looking for a Key Account Manager to join their innovative team! The successful candidate will be responsible for developing quality longstanding relationships with the OEM customers, creating, and driving a strategy for the customer account(s) that provides business growth.

  

The Key Account Manager will:

  • Create new business opportunities within existing customers and with new customers.
  • Coordinate the creation of relationships between the organisation and customers at an executive level.
  • Process RFQ’s and lead the preparation of bids for new business.
  • Manage and quote running changes.
  • Gather customer, market, and competitor intel to shape the company’s strategy.
  • Support commercial and finance departments when necessary for order processing and overdue invoices.
  • Manage annual pricing negotiations and create price breakdowns.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and long-term forecasting, personal input to guide the business on anticipated customer volume.
  • Work with the legal department to present and negotiate contract T&C’s.
  • Oversee the weekly reports and accounts.


The Key Account Manager will have:

  • Successful track record of securing strategic sales of engineered systems or components to automotive OEM’s,
  • Experience of strategic account management with leading OEM(s).
  • Previous experience in engineering or cost estimating.
  • Hands-on work and leader behaviour, who promotes a lean culture and focuses on action.
  • Proficient in all forms of Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to adjust to changes and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in negotiation.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an occasionally high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with (Hybrid) Electric Vehicles and/or high voltage or low voltage Li-ion battery systems would be an advantage.
