A Midlands based battery cell research and manufacturing centre is currently recruiting a Process Specialist to help develop their FA&T production processes. This position is to aid the company in maintaining the production process of battery cells for Electric Vehicles and other applications.
The Process Specialist duties:
Responsible for safety in your area, must ensure a safe working environment for all.
Uphold quality standards.
Ensure area KPIs are captured, updated, and maintained.
Day to day management of process technicians.
Provide technical direction in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment.
Running of daily meeting, setting out daily tasks and objectives.
Drive continuous improvement to processes and equipment.
Collate and assess process and quality data.
Management and detailed planning of complex rectification/retool activities including on site supervision of contractors.
The successful Process Specialist will have:
A HND / HNC / BTEC (level 3) qualification within Engineering or related discipline.
Able to manage own time and manage others.
Familiar with control plans, SPC, process capability and gauging of components.
Demonstrable experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment within the automotive, aerospace, chemical or pharmaceutical industries.
Experience faut finding issues with complex processes and equipment.
Experience in one of the following web handling, reel to reel processing, HSCG high accuracy high volume manufacturing, powder handling, chemical industry.
Familiar with ATEX assessment, DSEAR, COSHH.
Experience in writing process documents including SWI’s, risk assessments.
