Our client, a leading organisation focusing on battery cell research and manufacturing in currently seeking to recruit a Senior Systems Engineer who will work alongside a small and growing team of Professional Engineers in new product development and industrialization of automotive batteries. The successful candidate will be able to work cross functionally, contribute to specifications, participate in internal process meetings, and manage testing and analysis to support project activities.

 

The Senior Systems Engineer will:

 

  • Support business team with completing RFI, creating high level scope in response to initial project brief, balancing Quality, Cost and Time targets through coordinated output from function team leaders.
  • Manage the delivery of customer projects as per requirements and be the interface between business and project core team.
  • Ensure capable, robust, and documented methods across all attributes and systems supporting optimized design.
  • Support product development and industrialization projects by planning and delivering engineering V&V test activities.
  • Prepare technical reports and requirements documentation and review design requirements and understand regulations/standards.
  • Assist in the development of customer test specification and procedures.
  • Review System level Design for Assembly. (DFA)
  • Conduct and peer review system level DFMEA, Functional Safety and Risk assessments.

 

The Senior Systems Engineer will have:

 

  • Degree qualification in Engineering or Science discipline. (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems Engineering)
  • Experience in a similar industry. (Automotive, Aerospace, Battery, Manufacturing, Nuclear, Power, Transport)
  • Proven experience in systems modelling & requirements management, Doors, SysML or UML, experience of delivering complex engineering products/projects.
  • Excellent analytical skills and Data analysis knowledge. (Matlab, Python, or similar)
  • Understanding of lithium-ion cell chemistry, design construction and formats. Experience in the design and development within an industrial manufacturing setting, which can be transferred to Lithium-ion batteries.
  • Ability to put the customer first and is driven to deliver experiences that are personalized, transparent and dependable.
  • Excellent communicant skills with the ability to share complex ideas.
  • Confident with working in a diverse and fast-paced environment, positive and motivated attitude with high work ethics.
  • Ability to priorities tasks, deliver great results even when working under pressure and willing to develop and learn new skills.
