A pioneering and globally recognized clean energy technology company that are delivering compact and cost-effective energy solutions of sustaining the planet are currently looking to employ an Operations Director. The successful candidate will need a good understanding of and contribution towards Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement as it is an important feature of the role.

The Operations Director will:

  • Oversee the daily operational systems and processes which provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for key initiatives.
  • Maintain and create strong relations with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to help with the decision-making process of operational activities and strategic goals.
  • Plan, control and execute client’s projects from day one, including the coordination of the design and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure that all legislative regulations are in place and are followed.
  • Set and monitor product standards to ensure finished products are of the prescribed customer specification and quality.
  • Manage the overall manufacturing of sample, prototype and commercial parts, meeting and or exceeding all requirements with regards to on time delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Ensure that all applied processes lead to the best execution in terms of quality and economics.
  • Plan and negotiate agreement contracts of operations and supply.

The Operations Director will have:

  • Previous experience in leadership and management, with the ability to optimize the team performance and development.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage budgets and have excellent knowledge in the commercial and financial department.
  • Ideally, educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant manufacturing or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in leading an operation function with a proven track record in strategic operational leadership delivering effective strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, ambitious, goal orientated and determined.
  • Strong and robust character, interested in people development.
  • Ability to lead from the front and is enthusiastic about building a positive team.
