A leader in electrified HGV technology is currently seeking an Assembly Maintenance Lead. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the core business unit and be part of a group of leaders who are responsible for running the entire assembly operation.

  

The Assembly Maintenance Lead duties:

  • Lead the manufacturing operations business as the “Beating Heart of the Plant”, ensuring the team achieve all deliverables required for the business.
  • Deliver maintenance improvements through focused maintenance activities & improved working practices.
  • Analyse equipment performance (OEE) and identify and prioritise improvement actions and projects for processes, facilities, and tooling.
  • Optimise preventative maintenance schedules based on failure analysis, and support shutdown and major maintenance planning.
  • Carry over lessons learnt onto new equipment & improve new equipment maturation, liaising with ME in doing this
  • Define and manage critical spares to ensure cost-effective equipment availability
  • Support development of a training framework that raises skills in each area
  • Support engineering, service and all prebuild requirements as and when necessary
  • Managing stock to avoid ageing vehicles
  • Support right-first time production through error-proofing, traceability & design for manufacture processes
  • Lead a passionate engaged & empowered culture through continuous development, innovation, learning, technical & operational excellence  


The successful Assembly Maintenance Lead will have:

  

  • Proven ability to deliver maintenance improvements and improved working practice within a production facility.
  • Experience optimising preventative maintenance schedules based on failure analysis and major maintenance planning
  • Ability to utilise preventative maintenance system data from systems is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
  • Technical ability –knowledge of technical assembly processes
  • A proven team leader who can form good working relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven experience and commitment to the adoption and use of lean tools into everyday practice.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and coaching a diverse team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience of ensuring Health and Safety of all stakeholders
