A leader in electrified HGV technology is currently seeking an Assembly Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will lead a core manufacturing production operations team in a fast-paced environment as an empowered business unit.
 
 
The Assembly Operations Manager duties:
 
  • Creating a passionate engaged & empowered culture through continuous development, innovation, learning and technical & operational excellence
  • Management of the manufacturing operations business ensuring the operations team achieve all deliverables required from the facility
  • Review volume capacity and ensure robust plans are in place to identify and eliminate bottle necks and implement initiatives within the plant to ensure facility & manning results in best cost-per-unit position
  • Development and implementation of a manufacturing operating system to ensure embedded manufacturing processes provide quality vehicles with no faults forward, on time
  • Nurture a continuous improvement and PDCA mind-set within all that we do
  • Coach and implement the use of lean tools and principles to drive out waste and deliver uptime and productivity improvements year-on-year
  • Coach through a process confirmation approach with all levels of the team
  • Drive thorough problem-solving and an obsessive prevent re-occurrence culture through the operations organisation
 
The successful Assembly Operations Manager will have:
 
  • Ideally engineering degree qualified and/or technical/professional qualification
  • Experience of running medium/high volume manufacturing production areas
  • Proven experience in the use and coaching of quality tools widely used in the Automotive Industry ensuring compliance to TS 16469 and 1S014001
  • Technical ability – able to demonstrate knowledge/experience of technical assembly processes
  • Lean Principles – Proven experience and commitment to the adoption and use of lean tools into everyday practice
  • Health, Safety and Environment – proven experience of ensuring Health and Safety of all stakeholders and ability to coordinate and deliver environmental improvement actions
