After significant investment, a world-renowned premium sports car manufacturer and engineering consultancy has announced a new Midlands Technical Centre to act as their global engineering headquarters. In line with this growth, the company are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer to support engineering activities across the business.

The Software Test Engineer (6-Month Contract) Duties:

• Hardware in the loop (HIL) model development in common HIL platforms to improve the company’s in-house testing capabilities.
• Development of automated testing systems while integrating in-line with Continuous integration processes.
• Authoring test cases based on requirements provided by relevant stakeholders.
• Test execution on hardware in the loop (HIL), Software in the loop (SIL), processor in the loop (PIL), Sub system, System and Vehicle level.

The Successful Software Test Engineer (6-Month Contract) Will Have:

• Prior experience of validation and verification on production vehicle software within the automotive industry.
• Experience commissioning and operating HIL rigs – both hardware and software side (Dspace, Vector, National Instruments etc.).
• Experience authoring software test cases and software test automation.
• Experience with CAN, LIN and Flexray network tools (Vector, ATI, Kvaser) for signal analysis, simulation, injection and debugging.
• Experience with On-vehicle validation in low volume vehicles.
• Requirements management system and V Cycle experience.
