We are currently seeking an Application Engineer to be responsible for processing detailed technical and commercial responses to customer RFI’s and RFQ’s. Britishvolt are dedicated to supporting the future of electrified transportation and sustainable energy storage, producing world-leading lithium-ion battery technologies.

The Application Engineer Duties:

• Support the sales team as part of the New Business Acquisition process.
• Support presentation of BV cell proposal to customer technical contacts and conduct customer cell / battery requirements & specifications analysis.
• Support presentation of BV cell proposal to customer technical contacts in customer ready format (illustrations, schematics, cell specifications, cell performance charts….).
• Work with Project Management to prepare timing plans as part of RFQ response.
• Support the strategy department with a database and log of current and future customer cell requirements and trends.

The Application Engineer will have:

• Demonstrable experience within a similar role within the automotive, battery or electronics industry.
• Excellent commercial awareness of costs associated with battery cell chemistries, customer requirements and trends.
• Previous experience supporting sales into Automotive OEM’s is highly desirable.
• A degree level qualification in Engineering is highly desirable.
