After significant investment, a world-renowned premium sports car manufacturer and engineering consultancy has announced a new Midlands Technical Centre to act as their global engineering headquarters. In line with this growth, the company are currently seeking a HV & Charging Infrastructure (6 Month Contract) to support engineering activities across the business.

The HV & Charging Infrastructure (6 Month Contract) Duties:

  • Responsible for the development, integration, and validation of components specific to the delivery of both On and Off-Board traction battery charging systems.
  • This includes appropriate system design, control strategies and supporting functions such as off-board chargers, wireless chargers, cables and ports and supply equipment.
  • Lead market legislation and certification compliance for charging and charging infrastructure within the business.
  • Create customer charging strategy and specification.
  • Design functional safety verification process
  • Responsible for quality control requirements and methods including supplier evaluation technical issue management resolution.

The successful HV & Charging Infrastructure (6 Month Contract) Will Have:

  • Expertise within automotive EV charging technical standards, and worldwide requirements and safety concepts / regulations is essential.
  • Minimum of 3 year of experience within an automotive engineering role, preferably within Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain, Electrical or Service.
  • Experience of electric vehicle systems engineering theory, solutions, and technologies.
  • Experience of Training development or training delivery is highly desirable.
  • A degree level university education in engineering or related subject is desirable but not essential.
