A leader in electrified Automotive technology is currently seeking an Internal Communications Officer to deliver programs and campaigns to support the strategic projects and priorities to secure effective communication to all employees, ensuring that they are all informed and motivated.

Internal Communications Officer Duties:

  • Creating content & issuing digital communication materials, companywide, department & divisional
  • Events management for annual all company with regular team communication events
  • Establish organisational messages to keep all staff informed of developments
  • Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with Leadership team
  • Ensure that organisational initiatives and projects are successful communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums such as staff intranet monthly magazine/ newsletter or regular email bulletin
  • Keep customers abreast of progress and answer their questions
  • Deliver presentations at events including at board meetings
  • Draft messages or scripts for the Leadership team to use for presentations to employees in written or spoken form
  • Ensure that there is consistency in internal communication messages
  • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
  • Handle all internal communications response to crisis situations which will affect organisational perception and reputation
  • Advise the Leadership team of developments throughout the organisation either face to face or through regular written communications
  • Create content for presentation and organisation global events

The Successful Internal Communications Officer Will Have:

  • BA in Journalism, Communications, PR or Marketing or related qualification
  • Experience in working within a Communications team especially in internal communications
  • A skilled writer with a proven ability and adept at producing clear creative and high-quality content and messaging.
  • Experience of implementing communications strategies /plans, related to change management
  • Demonstrable competence with managing industry standard digital platforms and software systems for internal communication.
  • Proven track record of creating, implementing, tracking, and evaluating creative and effective employee communications
  • Experience of running communications project campaigns
  • Experience of writing for a variety of different audiences
  • Journalism or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of effective employee communications techniques and delivery across the full range of face to face, digital, print and broadcast communications channel
  • A strong understanding of writing and editorial styles across a wide range of different channels, media, and environments
