On behalf of our manufacturing Coventry based client we are currently looking for a Logistics Team Leader.

The Logistics Team Leader duties:

  • Provide assistance to the Plant Material Handling manager in prioritising and allocating tasks to associates, and tracking completion of those tasks.
  • To monitor, produce and report relevant KPis.
  • To undertake the loading/unloading of vehicles. To receive incoming goods, offload, check, book and validate in accordance with company procedures.
  • Preparation of product for despatch when required. Generating paperwork in order to complete the relevant despatch documentation making sure that it complies in accordance with ADR regulations.
  • Assist the Material Handling lead, Inbound Logistics lead and other team members when needed to meet schedule.
  • Training of MHE equipment in compliance with training for inhouse employees.
  • Stock management to be maintained at 100% stock accuracy.
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times and warehouse standards.
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
  • Update and report on delivery, inventory levels and dispatch requirements.
  • Monitor stock movements.
  • Assess produce and maintain Procedures, Work instructions and IT processes.
  • Ensure IT systems are accurately inputted, reported and checked.
  • Performing daily duties to include MHE check sheets, Warehouse housekeeping standards and cycle count checks are completed.

The Logistics Team Leader will have:

  • Team leadership experience in Logistics and Warehousing, in production / manufacturing / supply chain environment, with a good knowledge of logistics processes and procedures.
  • Relevant MHE experience, documentation, inhouse or accredited licences.
  • IT systems knowledge and skills including excel, receipting of goods, despatch of goods, scanning, stock control, system maintenance.
  • Experience in team and individual workload organisation, and ability to prioritise workload according to demand urgency.
  • Basic knowledge/accreditation of technical regulations related to shipment or handling of dangerous goods/chemicals is desirable.
  • Train the trainer MHE licences preferable on PPT, Reach and FLT.
  • Extensive experience Picking orders using a hand-held scanner/RDTs ensuring that all scans and location allocations are 100% correct to maintain stock integrity.
  • Must have extensive experience of various MHE in a warehouse manufacturing environment.
