A leader in electrified HGV technology is currently seeking a Low Voltage 2D Schematic Designer to provide support in design of Electrical Distribution Systems to enhance design solutions for a brand-new product range. This is a niche sector and presents a good opportunity for the right person, working on technically interesting products in a fast-paced working environment.

Low Voltage 2D Schematic Designer Duties:

• 2D Design of wiring harnesses for both prototype and then manufacturing phases.
• Cross functional liaison between departments to support project engineering activities.
• Manage part cost(s), mass, and timings according to project guidelines.
• Create and manage DFMEA and Validation documents.
• Assist our production team, to provide hands-on support when required.

The Successful Low Voltage 2D Schematic Designer Will Have:

• Degree qualified in Engineering discipline.
• Experience using VESYS to design wiring harness schematics.
• Demonstrable experience of electrical distribution system development - specifically circuit design, wiring/fusing systems and electrical packaging.
• Experience in design for good electrical and EMC performance.
• Knowledge of hybrid electrical vehicle architectures and wiring systems would be advantageous.
• Full product lifecycle activities including concept maturation, design management, issues control and resolution, cost and weight management, supplier management, series manufacturing and subsequent support activities.
