About Hypermotive

Hypermotive is an engineering and manufacturing company specialising in enabling low and zero-emission technologies across diverse sectors. Built on a foundation of deep technical expertise in electrical systems, hydrogen fuel cells, batteries and system integration, the company helps organisations deliver electrified, hydrogen-enabled and hybrid power systems.

Founded in 2016 by Chief Executive Officer Adam Huckstep and Chief Technical Officer Jeremy Bowman, Hypermotive has grown from a fuel-cell consultancy into a multidisciplinary engineering business with over 100 clients across four continents.

Headquartered in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, UK, the business also operates facilities in Northampton, UK and Großostheim, Germany, supporting everything from concept design to low- and mid-volume manufacturing and system integration.

What Hypermotive Does

Hypermotive specialises in systems integration engineering to support the adoption of zero-emissions technologies. The company’s core capabilities include:

  • Electrical systems engineering and integration, including high- and low-voltage power distribution designs.
  • Hydrogen fuel cell systems — design, integration, and hydrogen power solutions for transport and stationary applications.
  • Battery system expertise, including electrical integration, modelling and support for electrification programmes.
  • Systems engineering across hybrid, electric and hydrogen platforms, enabling complex technologies to work together seamlessly.
  • Manufacturing of wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies for automotives, motorsport, marine, rail and aerospace sectors.

Hypermotive’s team works with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier-1 suppliers in automotive, commercial vehicles, motorsport, marine, rail and aerospace, simplifying and accelerating the journey to zero-emissions technologies.

Mission & Impact

Hypermotive’s mission is to simplify, optimise and accelerate the adoption of zero-emissions technologies by integrating complex electrical, battery and hydrogen systems into real products and applications. Whether it’s electric refuse trucks, hydrogen trains, hybrid gensets or advanced marine power systems, the company’s engineering expertise helps clients take innovative technologies from concept all the way to production and deployment.

This systems-first approach means Hypermotive works on the parts of development that are often unseen but critical — ensuring technologies not only function individually but work together as a harmonised and efficient solution.
