Echion spun-out from Cambridge University Engineering Department in 2017.
Since it started, Echion has raised over 30m private investment, with the majority of investors re-investing at every opportunity and the latest funding round completed in August 2023.

From humble beginnings in the corner of the labs at the Cambridge University, Echion now has dedicated research labs and offices in Sawston, outside Cambridge.
