Introduction

About AmpliSi

Founded in 2025, AmpliSi is an early-stage UK battery materials company focused on one of the most important challenges in electrification, improving how batteries perform at a fundamental level.

Based in Sheffield and spun out of the University of Sheffield, the company is developing next-generation silicon anode materials designed to replace traditional graphite in lithium-ion batteries. While silicon has long been seen as the future of battery performance, scaling it safely and cost-effectively has remained a major industry challenge. AmpliSi is working to solve that.
