Our client, a leading Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre is currently looking to hire a Head of Quality. The successful candidate will lead effective management of quality with a focus on customer satisfaction.

  

About the Role:

The Head of Quality is a strategic and operational leadership position responsible for implementing quality strategies and achieving operational goals. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, managing the quality function, and supporting operations. The successful candidate will lead the Quality Management System, drive Continuous Improvement, and ensure compliance with Quality Standards.

  

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  

Strategy and Development:

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective quality management.
  • Develop and maintain quality systems and procedures for efficient site activities.
  • Lead quality activities across the business, supporting short-term and long-term strategies.
  • Implement best practices, vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance business performance.

General Deliverables:

  • Lead quality management with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Drive out non-conformances and establish quality standards.
  • Implement new quality processes and systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout the business.
  • Ensure effective internal and external audits planning and management.

Financial Budget & Control:

  • Input and hold responsibility for the quality budget.
  • Prepare quality budget and forecasts.
  • Manage calibration and costs with a focus on reducing overall costs.

  

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemistry, Physics, Systems, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control plans, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards.
  • Proven track record in front-line Quality role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in presenting data effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and analytical software like Minitab.
