Our client, an industrialisation centre for Power Electronics, Machines and Drives is currently hiring a Senior Engineer – Power Electronic Process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of power electronic drives assembly processes.

The Senior Engineer – Power Electronic Process will:

• Develop and deliver manufacturing / assembly process, which may include working to relevant quality standards and processes, producing the required documentary evidence.
• Support development of customer quotations and scopes of work.
• Take responsibility for the technical delivery of projects and be the customers’ main technical contact through the delivery phase.
• Support programme / project managers in tracking project deliverables, progress, and timing, and planning remedial action where needed.
• Define and deliver appropriate in-process and end of line testing.

The Senior Engineer – Power Electronic Process will have:

• Educated to degree level in electrical engineering or a cognate discipline or have equivalent relevant industrial experience.
• Experience of electronics or power electronics manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Quality systems. Able to interpret and work to standards (IATF16949 (incl. APQP), ISO9001, others as required.
• Experience of validating power electronic devices and systems through bench testing.
• Familiarity with CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools, and able to interpret customer schematics to identify key information.
• Hands-on style. Will engage with physical assembly where needed. Open and collaborative. Comfortable in a cross functional workshopping environment; welcomes challenge.
