Head of Supply Chain

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Supply Chain. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and leading the execution of the supply chain strategy.

The Head of Supply Chain will:

• Develop existing and future supplier relationships to improve incoming delivery times and reduce cost. Set up alternative suppliers to avoid single source reliance.
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers and generate improvement ideas for implementation within the business.
• Provide leadership, coaching and line management to buyers, coordinating their workload and providing direction to ensure target delivery.
• Continuously improve ISO standards including authoring operating procedures.
• Develop, with the functional leads, inventory targets and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to steer and report operational performance.

The Head of Supply Chain will have:

• Minimum BSc in appropriate discipline or have equivalent working experience.
• Experience of managing a supply chain, ideally within the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Ability to review and implement well defined operating procedures in compliance with ISO standards.
• Good time management skills and personal flexibility to support operational needs.
• Motivating attitude and demonstrated ability to positively influence organisational culture and diversity.
