We are currently looking for a Market Analyst for our client, a leading investor in battery technology, focusing on delivering sustainable, low-carbon battery cells. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background and strategic mindset, a passion for insight led decision making and problem solving, and be an innovative, out of the box thinker. Our client is looking for a high caliber individual who is a proactive self-starter, capable of prioritizing their time and working with a range of stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.

The Market Analyst will:

• Analyse and build data-based scenarios to provide synthesis of key market characteristics & competitor profiling.
• Create forecast models to provide insight on market size, profile, geography, technology, brand segmentation and timescales. Generating market analysis from these forecast models to provide input to Product Line Managers in support of business case decision reviews.
• Support with the creation, delivery, and maintenance of key customer end-user needs and regulatory requirements, applications that govern the company’s connected ecosystem covering all markets in alignment with numerous internal/external stakeholders
• Collect, analyse, decompose, and interpret information and data on the market dynamics, key growth drivers and outlook, as well as the customer and competitive landscape.
• Cooperate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across commercial, marketing, engineering, R&D, battery line and strategy.
• Build comprehensive knowledge and insights of the battery industry, external market conditions, competitor strategies, horizon scanning for future trends and opportunities and translate these to value-adding insights for strategic decision making.
• Oversee and have a deep understand our strategic context (competitors, market, brand, customer), and feed this into strategic projects across the business, collaborating with the Strategy Director/Manager and teams across the business.
• Establish an effective operational design focused on customer outcomes, explaining operational impacts and the operating model, gaining agreement for the same and owning iterations.

The Market Analyst will have:

• Up to 3 years’ experience within a market analyst role at agency or in house.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong business acumen with a client-driven approach.
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• The ability to gather, analyse, challenge, interpret and present data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
