Tony joins EVera bringing almost 40 years of experience in automotive product development.
He helps directly and internally at EVera to hone the targeting of the next generation of talent but also works with EVera’s customers to help them define, shape and grow their existing talent.
In Tony’s words, “Put simply, the work that EVera does in identifying and securing key talent is critical to the success of this industry, and they are very good at it.”
“The traditional recruitment models aren’t yet capable of delivering the highly technical talent that EVera both understands and can gain access to.”
He successfully led the Faraday Battery Challenge from inception in 2018 right up until Dec 2024, overseeing more than £610M Research & Innovation intervention in battery technology.
This included funding, delivery oversight and national policy direction for the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC), the UK’s £220m investment in an open-access national battery manufacturing development facility. A facility whose entire team was built almost exclusively by Evera.
Prior to Faraday, Tony had been the Director of Engineering Research at Jaguar Landrover for many years.
His deep understanding of the UK battery landscape, from volume and technical requirements to commercial considerations, positions him as a trusted expert across the sector.
